Abstract

Big data analytics has become a pervasive element of contemporary corporate decision making as digital channels, connected products, and sensor networks generate unprecedented volumes of transactional and behavioral information. Global corporations operate across heterogeneous markets, regulatory regimes, and organizational cultures, which complicates the integration of this data into coherent strategic planning processes. At the same time, competitive pressure and shortening product life cycles require timely adaptation of strategy and rapid responses to local market signals. Against this backdrop, advanced analytical methods can support the systematic conversion of large-scale, high-frequency data into quantitative inputs for long-term planning and day-to-day commercial decisions. This paper examines how big data infrastructures, statistical learning models, and optimization techniques can be combined to align strategic planning and market responsiveness in globally distributed firms. The discussion focuses on modeling choices that link demand sensing, resource allocation, and performance monitoring in a unified analytical view of the corporation. Emphasis is placed on the interplay between data architecture, algorithm design, and managerial interpretation, acknowledging that analytical outputs must remain interpretable and operationally feasible at scale. The paper also considers organizational and governance aspects that influence the reliability and reproducibility of insights derived from global data assets, highlighting the conditions under which big data analytics can provide consistent support for strategic deliberation and market-oriented action. Particular attention is given to the temporal coupling between planning cycles and data refresh rates, which shapes the extent to which analytics can inform forward-looking choices without amplifying transient noise.
